Currently Matavia Performance Horses have three Hanoverian approved breeding mares, the imported Hannoveraner Jumper Breeder Program and dual MPT State Premium Mare qualifier, StPr Evole (Escudo/Werther), her daughter by De Niro (iiu) Matavia Devine and imported Hanoverian Premium Mare and Mare Performance Test Winner Franziska (joint owned with Sharon Cox of Roxleigh Performance Horses). See there full details on the tabs below. We would like to use this page to acknowledge the other beautiful mares we have had the privilege to use in our breeding program or who are now deceased.

Ribbleton Poppy (deceased) was awarded HHSA Mare of the year in 2019. She is by the German Stallion Pommery from a refined Thoroughbred mare. Poppy has produced 9 foals including the best colt foal in 2004 with her first foal by Riverdance Matavia Rohan, a Grand Prix dressage champion in Matavia Fisher King under Melanie Nixon, SA Dressage horse of the year with Ruth Schneeburger with Roxleigh Fidelio by Furst Nymphenburg, and many others including Elite Breeding Mares, Para equestrian competitors and a champion vaulting horse. We miss Poppy. Her amazing herd will continue to provide to the sport.

We have had the use of the beautiful Redgum Hayley (His Highness/Rotspon) for the last two seasons and will be retaining her current filly by Bonds.  We also imported and Performance tested PrM Halle Berry (Hochadel/Octave) bred in Germany by Klaus Bunger, who we then sold to young rider Shelby Bragg after producing a filly by Don Frederico that we called Matavia Diaz. Other quality mares we have used in the past include Matavia Paparazzo xx, Remi Waikerie (Winterkoenig/Daktylus), Windstille (Winterkoenig/Chicago Peace xx) and her full sister Wien Dame K, Matavia Gynevieve, Matavia Gwyneviere (both by Gymnastik Star), Better Pine xx and Wilara Grafix (Graf Landau).
